The 2003 CIA World Factbook
The World Factbook (also known as the CIA World Factbook) is a reference resource produced by the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States with almanac-style information about the countries of the world.
The World Factbook is prepared by the CIA for the use of U.S. government officials, and its style, format, coverage, and content are primarily designed to meet their requirements.
What’s New
– Country information has been updated as of 18 December 2003.
– For Rank Order pages and downloadable, tab-delimited rank-order files, a Rank Order page for
Highways has been added.
– Entries for Natural Gas – production, Natural Gas – consumption, Natural Gas – exports, and Natural
Gas – imports have been added to the Economy category of each country.
The World Factbook 2003 printed version provides a “snapshot” of the world as of 1 January 2003.
